The strong emphasis is on the refinement of leadership and leadership styles, strategy, relationships, and social intelligence. Parakletos also make use of vocational psychologists with decades of experience in guiding clients for optimal performance in their personal life and the workplace.

Parakletos offers a very specific counselling and coaching service for spiritual leaders and workers(pastors, ministers, social workers, caregivers). The challenges of spiritual and general care giving are compassion fatigue and burnout.  We aim to assist in taking control and restore balance between the different roles as caregiver. Pastoral Counselling

  Pastoral counselling with Parakletos involves a helping relationship between a pastoral counsellor and an individual, couple, or family who seek assistance for coping with life. We have years of experience in helping, assisting various clients/groups in solving life challenges and ultimately finding destiny and purpose.
Pastoral counselling is a unique form of counselling using spiritual resources as well as psychological understanding for healing and growth. Pastoral counselling with Parakletos meet a wide range of human needs:

• depression, fear, anger, guilt or anxiety

Our panel of therapists has experience, both as pastoral counsellors and therapists for more than 25 years. We have counselled people in a variety of settings: community mental health, private practice, non-profit agencies, etc. We are experienced working with people individually, within family units as well as other diverse groups. Much of our experience has been with individuals, adolescents and families. We have also worked extensively with adults, especially around addictions, loss, depression, relational issues and life direction.

We utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches. Our academic background is broad, including post graduate degrees from various universities. We have experience in behaviour therapy, play therapy, coaching and mediation.
